What’s Holding You Back?

Take a moment to remember the last time you found the motivation to take action you had been putting off. Maybe you finally asked your boss for that raise you’ve been working towards, told your partner that you love them for the first time, or actually played the music you’ve been writing at the local open mic night on your street. Way to go!

What compelled you to take the leap? How did you go from “I don’t think I can do it,” to “I can face this?”

While your instinct may be to give credit to external circumstances, here’s what really happened: something within you shifted, and a new possibility for action became available to you.

Maybe you crushed a client call that morning and while strutting back to your desk, your inner dialogue of, “Am I really worth that promotion?” transformed into, “Wow, I’m a valuable asset to this team!” Suddenly putting a 1:1 into your boss’s calendar felt totally justified.

Maybe as you sat on the couch all snuggled up in the arms of your lover, watching the happily ever after ending of that rom com, you were overcome with the belief that, “Wow, maybe things really can work out,” and just like that, your fear gave way to hope and you couldn’t hold the words in anymore.

Maybe you listened to a podcast of your favorite artist talking about their own fear the first time they ever played for a live audience and curiosity and excitement overtook you, pushing your fear of failure to the side. “She never would have made it if she hadn’t just tried when she was scared. What could happen if I just try?!” In an inspired whirlwind, you ran to the computer and submitted your name for the event.

That client call, the rom com, the podcast interview… they were mere conduits to the inner transformation that allowed you to take the leap. From these embodied experiences arose new narratives, beliefs, emotions, and sensations, replacing those that had previously held you back. And finally, you could move freely, taking action towards your desired outcomes.

Here’s the kicker: you don’t need to wait for some serendipitous outside influence to change your life – the power for transformation is already within you.

My work is in helping you discover and harness that power. Together we’ll embark on a journey of exploring and dismantling limiting beliefs and patterns that aren’t serving you, replacing them with new ways of being that empower you to march fully towards living the life you want.

Are you ready to take matters into your own hands?
